Richard Aboulafia is considered one of the world’s leading aviation and defence analysts with a distinguished career spanning 34 years. Based in Washington DC, he writes about aviation and defense, and has had numerous articles published  in Aviation Week and Space Technology, Foreign Policy, and other publications such as Forbes. He has appeared as a guest on CNN and other major news outlets. As a Managing Director at AeroDynamic Advisory, he manages consulting projects in the commercial and military aircraft field and analyzes broader defense and aerospace trends. Richard advises numerous aerospace companies, including most prime and many second- and third-tier contractors in the US, Europe and Asia. Richard has  a Masters degree in War Studies from King’s College, University of London and a Bachelors degree from George Washington University.
